Dr Madhumita Roy

Dr Madhumita Roy had her undergraduate education at Presidency College, Kolkata in Physics. She obtained her M Sc degree in Physics from Calcutta University followed by Post M Sc diploma from Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics. There after she did her PhD in the same Institute. She did her CSIR Post Doc fellowship at Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, where she joined later as a scientist. Her Research area is radiation biology, cytogenetics, cell biology, tumour cell apoptosis, cancer chemoprevention and environmental toxicology.
She has to her credit more than 44 original publications in reputed International Journals. Presently she is the Head & Senior Scientific Officer in the department of Environmental Carcinogenesis & Toxicology, CNCI.
